The hall was purpose built in 1985. It has a well equipped kitchen.
RESPONSE TO COVID-19
The Village Hall has had an automatic wall mounted gel dispenser fitted in the entrance hallway and extra soap dispensers provided in the toilets and kitchen. Antibacterial spray and wipes are also provided to clean any surfaces which are to be used.

The acoustics are good, making the hall a good venue for concerts as well as for large social gatherings and parties of all ages.
Kitchen
The kitchen is available to all hirers. It has two sinks, a double cooker, microwave, water heater, fridge, an industrial standard dishwasher, and a cabinet for keeping food warm. Standard utensils and equipment are provided. Cutlery and crockery are available for around 80 place settings. There is a serving hatch through to the main hall.
Please take away all rubbish as we have no collection facilities from the Council and in general leave the kitchen as you find it.
Equipment
About 100 stackable chairs are available for seating. There are also 15 folding tables seating 6 to 8 people and 16 smaller tables suitable for bridge drives or afternoon tea parties.
There is a permanently fixed projector screen at the far end of the hall (marked on the plan). Please note, to make use of the screen, you will need to bring your own projector.

Three are available, including facilities for people with disabilities.
Heating
The hall is heated by an electro-warm heater system which is easy to operate and very effective. They do take about 20 – 30 minutes to warm up the hall, so allow for this.

The children’s playground in the Queen’s Acre field outside the hall is available for the use of the hirer, but may also be in use by other children not attending the event in the hall. Please pay attention to the safety notices. No Dogs are allowed on the field.
There is parking for 11 cars only immediately outside the hall. Further parking is available across the road in the Church car park in Mill Lane. The hirer must ensure that those using the hall do not obstruct rights of way or park on the private road to
Barton Grange.
No parking is allowed on the field.
