St. Nicholas Church

There has been a place of worship in Corfe for centuries and the current building is Norman in style having been rebuilt about the middle of the 19th century. This parish church is now part of the Blackdown Benefice.

For details of its services, officers, programmes and the Parish magazine please click here go to Blackdown benefice website.

For those wishing to learn more about the history of the Church, its bells and other buildings in the Parish will find “The Scrap Book of Corfe 1887-1987”very informative.

This delightful book contains snapshots and reminiscences about Corfe. It is available for loan at Taunton’s Library in Paul Street and there is a reference copy in the local history library there.

Churchyard and War memorial area maintenance is carried out by dedicated volunteers throughout the year.
