Corfe Village Hall
 |
This spacious building with a new, modernized kitchen is adjacent to Queen’s Acre. Two years ago the children’s playing area was completely revamped and now contains a good selection of playground pieces for young ones. The Hall is owned by the Parish Council and is an independent charitable trust whose Trustees are village residents. Volunteers from within the village work hard to keep this venue in excellent order but more help would always be welcome.
It is well utilized by various village clubs and associations but also by other outside agencies. It is suitable for wedding parties, childrens’ functions and by outside agencies.
The Village Hall 100 Club is organised by Teresa Wort - 01823 421803. This fund-raiser (which is registered under the Lotteries & Amusments Act 1976) gives 50% of its proceeds to the Hall and the balance forms the prize money. There are two prizes of £15 each month in addition to four Christmas prizes which are picked at the Christmas Party. Tickets cost £10 and are usually sold at the end of year. Further details can be obtained from Teresa.
