Corfelifts
The aim of the Corfelifts Community Car Scheme is to supplement the existing public transport services for the residents of Corfe Parish, Pitminster Village and Fullands.  It is supported by Somerset Council  and the Charity for the Allotments q.v. The scheme can be used for attending health appointments, shopping, social visits and connecting to trains and buses, etc. Regrettably journeys to and from work and school are not eligible. This very popular scheme is co-ordinated by the indefatigable Pat Evans who can be reached at 01823 421 406 between the hours of 6p.m. and 8 p.m. 48 hours notice is very necessary where at all possible but emergencies will be considered.   Since it's inception it has proved very popular and anyone possessing a bus pass can travel at half fare. There is also a mobile phone number 07870 461 498 which can be used. This whole enterprise is staffed by volunteers and new recruits are welcome.

Neighbourhood Watch
Our village is part of the Neighbourhood Watch scheme aimed at making our area a more pleasant community. Neil Bailey is our very able co-ordinator and he can be reached at neil.bailey@energycs.eu  or 01823 421 046.
He will be pleased to add any email addresses to his list in order that we can receive the bulletins which are produced from time to time.

Annual Flower Shows
There are two Village flower shows each year, in the Spring and towards the end of August. These are lively events and well attended. If you are green fingered, or trying to be, fancy yourself as an artist or a baker, then this is the venue for you.
The dates of these will be posted on this site nearer the time. Sometimes the Shows coincide with a Village party which provides a good opportunity to meet newcomers to the Village, catch up with old friends and have some fun.

Corfe Parish Tree Warden
The Tree Council of the UK, an umbrella organization supported by government and other agencies, set up a network of volunteers in 1990, The Tree Warden Scheme.   The aims of the scheme are to increase public awareness of the value and importance of trees, to encourage planting and maintenance, provide early warning when exisiting trees are under threat and to provide an inventory of ancient trees.   Several thousand volunteer Tree Wardens are involved in these endeavours.   The Parish's warden is Jim Ritchie who lives in the Village and he can be reached at broomhill@eclipse.co.uk or on 01823 421 434

Sewing classes are held in the Village Hall on alternate Monday mornings.   Please contact Jenny Harrison on 01823 412 704

Art Classes, also in the Village Hall are held on Tuesday mornings.   Please contact Sheila Andrews on 01823 421 678
