History tells us that this site was originally a farm but is now a traditional village pub dating back to the 17th century. There have been many landlords and ladies over the intervening years and our hosts now are Kevin and Sue Pearson. They have ensured a warm welcome and homely atmosphere and the food and varied menu is excellent.   This is attested to by the numbers showing up for their Curry Nights (monthly), Quiz Nights, and other themed occasions. They also provide a fish and chips takeway on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays which is very popular. For timings and hours of business please contact 01823 421 388. They are not open on Tuesdays.

The menu has been up-dated of late with more choice and some new prices.  In the restaurant there are a dozen Starters ranging in price from £3.50 to £5.25;  a varied Main Course and Vegetarian menu ranging from £6.25 right through to £15.50;  yummy Desserts all at £4 and an amazing array of coffees from regular to special floater and liquor coffees.   In addition there is always a Specials Board and lots of choice of Hot and Cold Bar food.   We hope you will pay us a visit soon.
