A358 -what the proposals could look like


THE CONSULTATION CLOSES ON TUESDAY 27th FEBRUARY  AT MIDDAY,  BUT IF YOU ARE RESPONDING BY POST DO GET IT SENT OFF BEFORE THIS WEEKEND TO ENSURE IT ARRIVES ON TIME. EACH PERSON IN A HOUSEHOLD CAN RESPOND.

THE TIMESCALE FOR THIS ROAD IS

SEPT/OCT 2018 – announcement of HE preferred route.

MID 2019 – STATUTORY CONSULTATION

END 2019 – SUBMISSION OF PLANNING APPLICATION

MID 2021 – BUILDING WORK BEGINS ACROSS THE WHOLE ROUTE KEEPING THE OLD A358 OPEN THROUGHOUT EXCEPT FOR OVERNIGHT BRIDGE CONSTRUCTIONS.

ALL COMPLETE BY 2024.

These two ‘mock ups’ of the BLUE, PINK and ORANGE routes of the current consultation give you an idea of how things could look in reality.
